I have to say that even 40 pounds overweight and at 39 years old, this beautiful shade of red "Fire & Ice" made me feel really good. It showed me that the bright and confident woman I used to be, is still there. She just has to learn to come out and play more often.

As part of the Revlon Expression Experiment, Nessa, Cici and myself have been trying out some really great Revlon products these past weeks. The Revlon Expression Experiment is all about insipiring women by pushing them out of their comfort zone by engaging them in new expressions. It's all about stepping out of your everyday makeup routine and trying some new, bold looks. Like a bright red lip, or colorful shadows that are perfect for summer, or a bold new nail color that makes you feel confident and strong.
You can challenge yourself, express yourself and share it on the Revlon Expression Experiment Facebook page.
This month's challenge is the "Red Lipstick Challenge", which I actually took part in. This really was a challenge for me and made me really have to step out of my comfort zone. Every since I was a young girl, red was my lip color, it wasn't until I had Sammy and gained and extra forty pounds, that I began to lose confidence in myself. The BOLD colors like reds and pinks that I used to wear became a thing of the past and I began to wear nude shades or just gloss. I missed seeing a bold dash of color on my face but could not muster up the confidence to wear my bright colors. When it came time for me to wear my red lipstick for the day, I was intimidated but at the same time looking forward to seeing the old me.

My other challenge was very fun, I got to try a bold new nail polish that I probably would not have picked out for myself but that I absolutely fell in love with. I wore this for 2 weeks and the product was so good, it was not till the very end that I began to get some chips. This Revlon ColorStay color is called Indigo Nights and is stunning and really showed off my nails. It felt really good to be wearing such a bold color and that the color was so solid and looked so good- not having to re-do my nails in over a week was pretty priceless too.

Vanessa is a shadow girl, but usually sticks to a smokey eye. When she saw the Revlon PhotoReady Eye Primer and Revlon ColorStay 16hr Eyeshadows she was pretty excited to try these very fun and quite colorful shadows, but was a bit unsure how the bright colors would look on her. This is exactly what the Revlon Expression Experiment is about, making you step out of the norm and into something new. So she grabbed her favorite of the two color kits and went for it. The end result is perfect for summer and was a nice change from the dark shades she always wears.

With the summer heat in full force Ciara had been complaining about her makeup not staying on all day. She got to review the Revlon PhotoReady Color Correcting Primer, and has really gotten to test it out everyday for two weeks now and this is what she found.
- Helps makeup really stay on, even in hot and humid weather
- Makes application of foundation smooth and even
- Makes her skin feel very soft
- Unlike the regular primers she uses in tubes, the pump on this bottle makes getting the right amount of product easy.

The Revlon Expression Experiment has been a lot of fun to take part in. As mom to five girls, I know that I want my daughters to always feel good about themselves. Revlon and it's products, are tools that we can use, not to cover up ourselves and change who we are, but to highlight the beautiful parts, so we can feel confident and strong. You can take part in this challenge too, simply visit the Revlon Expression Experiment Facebook page and take part in the fun with women from all around the world!
Maria, you look fabulous with Revlon's bright red lipstick and Indigo Nights Nail Polish! It's wonderful to see your beautiful daughters participate in the Revlon Expression Experiment, too!
