Even though I know that oral health is very important, I admit to not always making sure that I get my two daily brushes in. When it's time to visit my dentist I always end up paying for it by way of cavities and extra dental work. I was excited to try this battery powered brush to see if I could really spot a difference within one week of use. For the past 8 days I have been using the Philips Sonicare PowerUp toothbrush which I purchased at Walmart recently. See my entire shopping experience in my Google Plus Album. This affordable battery powered toothbrush is priced right under $20 and was available in two colors, I grabbed the orange brush and went home excited to try it for the first time. It is definitely rare for me to be excited about brushing my teeth, that was my first indication that this was not just any old toothbrush.
The Sonicare PowerUp was designed to be as easy to use as a manual toothbrush while at the same time delivering more brush strokes in one day than a month's worth of manual brush strokes. That is very impressive. The Sonicare PowerUp helps remove more plaque, reduces cavities and improves gum health.
So how does this baby actually work?
The Sonicare PowerUp toohrbush is almost frightening the first time you use it. This is a powerful toothbrush and from the minute you put it in your mouth, you know it's going to deliver a more through cleaning. With over 15,000 strokes per minute, how can it not? Something very helpful is the 2 minute timer, so you know exactly when you have reached the DP recommended brush time. And let me tell you it's fun to use this tooth brush and it has actually taken some of the monotony out of bushing. You put it in your mouth and suddenly it wakes you up, and you find yourself brushing away happily and really inspecting your teeth afterward to see the differences.
After eight days of use my mouth feels cleaner and I really do feel more confident knowing how much cleaner all my teeth are. It makes me wonder why I hadn't given a powered brush a try before now. Not everyone is gung-ho to get into the bathroom each morning and night to brush, and I am one of those that is not. The Sonicare PowerUp Toothbrush has made me look forward to brushing and I love knowing that with continued use, my entire oral health is going to be much better. Next time I visit the dentist, it should go better than it usually does!
