It's only 21 days till the official first day of summer but in the Inland Empire it's already here. Our entire county boasts record temps all summer long and this year it's arrived ahead of schedule. One of my favorite things about summer is the road trips with the fam. This weekend we hit the road with a few of the kids, my mom and Jack for some outdoor adventures, and we brought along our personalized Coca-Cola bottles. I didn't find my name on the Share a Coke site but with Walmart's large selection I did find bottles for most of the family, including mom and Jack.  The backstory on my sister Jack's name is that my mom was going to name her Jackson after a guy she watched on a soap opera but since she was a girl she named her Jackie and we all call her Jack. Considering that they call me Munkey, I think she got pretty lucky with her nickname. 

With Coca-Cola bottles in hand we hit the road for some pre-summer fun. While sightseeing I found this old cowboy who was more than ready to hold our drinks, I kinda wanted to bring him home with me. 

The day was so hot that it was nice to have an ice cold Coca-Cola on hand.

Coca-Cola is the drink of summer, and it's nice to be able to Share a Coke with my family on a fun day out with them. I don't drink soft drinks everyday, but when I have a soda craving Coca-Cola totally hits the spot. With so many things on our Summer Bucket List, we're going to be needing a lot of cold Coca-Colas.

But the best part about summer is that I will get to spend more time with this guy.
