Winter is less than a month away and so is Christmas, which is probably the busiest time of the year for me. And yet with all that I already have to do for the holiday season, this is also when I start prepping for the colder months and taking care of my family. I have to be ready to deal with the colds, fevers and illnesses that are sure to come at home. My son has always been a sickly child and the winter months are pretty hard on him. I have to be prepared to care for him, while not letting myself get sick because it's also a busy time at work.
I am a school photographer and during the winter we will be working long hours. Long hours make for great paychecks, but they also mean so many more aches and pains! I deal with a lot of equipment and heavy setups on a daily basis as part of my job. Not only do we pack all of the equipment that we use at each of our jobs, we also do the set up ourselves. That means lifting and putting together really heavy equipment and a lot of hard labor that most people don't associate with being a photographer. I still love what I do and every morning I pack my bag carefully so I can be ready to face the many kids germs, cold weather and pain, of the day.

So what do I pack in my workbag?
  • Ultra Strength BENGAY® Cream is a must have for anyone who suffers with muscle aches and pains. Find BENGAY® Cream at Target along with all of the other items you will need to #WinOverWinter.
  • When you come in contact with so many kids in one day, antibacterial lotions and wipes become your best friends.
  • Hand cream to apply generously after the antibacterial lotion is a must. Dry hands during the winter can be terrible so I apply hand cream all throughout my day.
  • Dry lips are also a big problem in the winter. I always carry lip balm with me and will apply several times a day. If I am wearing lipstick, I will apply a thick coat of lip balm underneath.

I first discovered BENGAY® Cream when my grandma let me use it at her house. She told me that it's what kept her going in her years of working a manufacturing job, while having arthritis. Now I know why she has trusted it for so many years and why it's always had a place in her medicine cabinet. BENGAY® Cream really does help to temporarily relieve the minor aches and pains of muscles and joints. I have a tube in my bag for those moments when my back acts up or when I happen to bruise myself, which is pretty often in this job.
A little bit of BENGAY® Cream over all of your achy spots right after a hot shower is also amazing and a great way to prepare for a restful night. Winter is a busy time and it's a hard time on our bodies, we need all the rest we can get. And that's why BENGAY® Cream is a must in my home this winter season. What are some of your winter must haves?
