My little guy loves to play and there is almost no toy that he will say no to, that's why his room is jam packed. But for me, it's very important to find him toys that will help his imagination grow, I am so happy he is not into technology yet like his cousins. While he is still little and before he discovers the world of tablets full of apps, I want him to enjoy playing with good old fashioned toys like the ones we had when I was little. By quickly logging into Target's Toy Emporium (available online) I can find so many toys for him that will boost his imagination and provide him with fun and exciting hours of play. Him and his best friend and cousin Anthony have recently discovered dinosaurs and after finding the Terra line of toys online at the emporium we went to our store which happens to also stock them.
In the same trip we looked for a birthday present for my niece Darlene. In the same theme as the boys, I wanted to find her something that would foster imaginative play since she spends a lot of time on her tablet. I looked at all the Imagine and Move toys available and knew she would love one of the dolls from the Our Generation section of the store, which happens to be my little sister Sammy's favorite isle in the store. In just one trip to Target I got each of the boys a dinosaur from Terra and we picked out a gift that would be sure to please. Knowing that all of the selections would encourage the kids development and provide them with technology-free hours of play made me feel really good about buying these toys for them.

Today the boys finally got together for a play date and sure enough they were very excited to be opening up the little dinosaurs they had only been allowed to hold thus far. You should have heard the growling that was going on and the chasing of the poor puppy through out the house was too funny.

This is the perfect age for this type of toy for them. They played for a good hour and a half before finally going down for naps and even then they were unwilling to part with their new found pals. I will totally have to go back and pick out a few more for each, and thank goodness that the figurines in this line are very affordable.

Julius has a birthday coming next month and I will be going online to visit Target's Toy Emporium to pick out some more Imagine and Move toys for him. We shall work to foster his little mind and get that imagination growing and growing without the need for technology or much television.

With his best friend and primo Anthony, they will for sure spend hours and hours chasing each other and playing their tiny hearts out. It does my heart good to see them having so much fun with toys that though very simple and small, provide BIG learning and BIG fun.
