Fall is so close to being here I practically smell it! It's no secret that fall is my very favorite season of all and in my house it is totally starting to look and smell like fall. We've started doing some light decorating and adding of fall scents all throughout and as soon as it cools down we can finally get down to all of that fall baking we love to do. It's still pretty warm in California (I think we've had record temps) and the last thing we want to do is turn on that oven. But still I want to be able to enjoy a nice little treat, especially after a long day or work. Today I want to share with you a very easy recipe that will allow you to enjoy a cup of cake, without turning that oven on. This is that perfect fall dessert for when you're home alone and don't want to bake an entire cake, or maybe you live in a dorm and all your cooking is done in the microwave and hotplate. I've had this cake in different variations a lot and it definitely helps cure that sweet tooth.

For this recipe I picked up my ingredients at Walmart, which is super convenient because I go there at least once a week and since they have the Limited Edition M&M's® in Pecan Pie I had to stop by and grab them. I am definitely one of those people that loves all limited edition foods, from now till December there will be all fall and holiday inspired flavors in my house by the buckets, yes the buckets.
These are probably ingredients you already have at home which is what makes this desert so easy to make.
For this recipe you will need:
1 tbsp Mott's® Apple Sauce Original 48oz
3 tbsp Pillsbury™ Creamy Supreme® Cream Cheese Icing

A handful of Limited Edition M&M's® Pecan Pie (YUMMY)
1/4 cup flour
5 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 egg
Dash of vanilla
1/3 Teaspoon baking powder

Instructions:
In a medium cup add: flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, vanilla,1 egg, 1 tbsp of Pillsbury™ Creamy Supreme® Cream Cheese Icing, 1 tbsp Mott's® Apple Sauce and mix well. Once mixture is as lump free and blended as you can get it, add a small handful of M&M's® Pecan Pie and spoon those in. Microwave on high for about 2-2 1/2 minutes depending on your microwave. Start checking it after a minute and a half by inserting a clean toothpick. Allow to cool for about 5 minutes. Now take approximately 2 more tablespoons of Pillsbury™ Creamy Supreme® Cream Cheese Icing and top. I scoop them into a small sandwich bag and cut the corner to attempt a cute topping, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Lastly, top with M&M's® Pecan Pie and ENJOY!
Now that you have an easy-to-make fall desert in hand is the perfect moment for a fall craft don't you think? We aren't really going to go into an entire house decoration but will instead be adding a few touches here and there and that is one of the things I did today with this jack-o-lantern. It's goes perfectly well with our Halloween tree and it was so easy to make the glittery face.

 glittery jack-o-lantern

You will need:
craft pumpkin
chalk
mod podge
glitter
sponge tool
large piece of paper to catch glitter

instructions:
Using a piece of chalk draw the jack-o-lantern's face. I'm not any sort of drawing expert so I just did the bet job I could, what makes this pumpkin really fun is that you can give it the features you want and it's not supposed to be perfect at all. Once your face is drawn add glitter to each feature at a time. On the sponge applicator add mod podge and fill in the features making sure to add glitter while it's still wet. Top each eye, nose and mouth generously with glitter and press with fingers. Allow to set for about a minute and slowly tip over to get rid of excess  glitter using a clean sponge tool to clean the face of all remaining glitter.
Yes, it is definitely starting to feel like fall! This was such an easy craft to do, I think I will be making some small all glitter pumpkins to go with it.
Now that the decorating has begun, I can enjoy my cake in a mug with a Snapple® Apple Single 16oz, it tastes just like ripe apples! I love this flavor. What a great treat to welcome fall, with a craft and some yummy fall treats!
Fall is now only 2 days away and I can't wait! Please share with me some of your favorite fall crafts and recipes!
