I'd like you to meet my cat, we call her Cat-Dog like the old Nick JR show. Cat-Dog was on her way to the pound after a cousin of ours decided they couldn't keep her because one of the kids in the home was allergic to her. We asked to bring her here to put her on Facebook and see if anyone wanted to have her, but we had only a few replies and my mom did not like the look of any of the people. That is how a family without a cat, suddenly found themselves with this little lady who doesn't think she's a cat. She swears she is the king of the jungle, she is always stalking the dog and pouncing on anyone who moves. She sits at the stairs and swats at us as we go up, and down and she is always quick to meow at us if we get in her space. She has become the queen of this castle and I swear she is so regal she must have lived in Egypt during one of her past lives.

Cat-Dog is a non-stop ball of energy because she is only a few months old. She is so different from our dog who is s senior and sleeps all day. Cat-Dog is  vey beautiful cat, she is very regal looking but you can't really tell she is a girl. I wanted to make her something special so everyone can tell that she is a lady and not the boy she seems to be. Here is a quick tutorial for making a beautiful floral collar for your girl cat out of the plain ones they sell at the store.

Material:

-1 collar for cat

-1 flower (you can do it yourself or you can buy ready-made)

-Glue

-1 scissors (only if you have to use to make a hole in the flower)

You can use many types of flowers for this collar. Last time I used plastic flowers from the crafts store but on my last trip I found these pre-made material flowers that will be less scratchy on her neck. Plus I loved the bright colors and variety. Now let's turn that boy collar into a beautiful lady one.

1: Pick a flower and glue on the bottom.

2: I used a special fabric glue, but you can use a hot glue gun too. The next step is to stick the flower to the side of the collar and wait for it to dry. Once the glue is dry, the collar is ready to go. So simple and quick to do but what a difference this beautiful collar makes on my little queen of the jungle. 

It's her world and we are just living in it.

Cat-Dog ( I know she needs a better name) is happy and she is alive. I know if she had gone to the pound she might have found an owner but it was not a risk we could take, so she is ours. Just like our dog. We are now a 2 pet family and we are okay with that.
