Summer Vacation Carlsbad, Ca

One of our favorite places to vacation has to be my mums hometown of Carlsbad, California - which is only a few hours away from where we live in Riverside County. But even though it really is less than two hours away in distance, it's actually worlds apart in how different it is from where we currently live. While our weather stays north of 100 degrees all summer long, Carlsbad boasts of 70-80 degree weather almost every single day, which is absolute perfect beach weather. It's hard to believe that people actually get to live in this most wonderful town year-round, we love it so much and it's always such an incredible treat for us to go back twice a year for our little vacays.

Since we travel as a family with at least 4 kids at once, it can get pretty crazy. That's one of the reasons we don't venture too far away from home and instead spend a lot of time in North SD County. Here we can spend long days at the beach, followed by a few hours in the pool and tons of eating in between.

We had a ton of fun this week at the beach and we can not wait to go back next spring. The beach is definitely our favorite place to be. Where is your favorite place to vacation?
