Time is going by so fast, Valentine's Day is right around the corner and today I am here to share some tips on how to plan the perfect Valentine's Day date night. You know I have a little boy who is just over a year old, and that means that romantic moments with the boyfriend are not exactly easy to come by. But those special one-on-one moments are so important to any relationship, so if those moments don't organically generate themselves, we need to plan them.
Whether it's a date night in, or a night out on the town, date nights are an absolute must. Here are a few tips to help you plan and create the perfect Valentine's Day date night:
Hire a babysitter: face it, you are not going to have a romantic date with the kids. It just won't happen. Why not just get them a sitter and if you feel guilty about it, make plans to take them somewhere fun the next day. But date night is just the TWO of YOU!
Fix yourself up: being a mommy is not conducive to looking your best daily. Believe me, I know. I will wear yoga pants and tanks most of the week with my hair in a bun. On date night give yourself some extra time for full makeup and some sort of hair styling. Remind your hubby/boyfriend why he fell in love with you.
Scent yourself silly: I am all about smelling great. A guy loves it when a girl smells divine and you don't even have to spend a lot, I found a Bodycology body spray at Walmart for less than four dollars and it's smells so pretty.
Set the mood: you've already scented yourself but what about your room? Again a great scented candle sets a super romantic atmosphere as well as scents the air with a romantic scent. I found all 3 wick candles at Walmart for under 4 bucks!
Prepare for romance: place some K-Y Yours+Mine Couples Lubricants on your nightstand and end the night on a perfect note. Don't worry it's not expensive at all, it was less than $15 at Walmart and it is worth every penny.
Right now you can find the limited edition pack that offers a special deal for Plated.com and Vudo.com. Plated.com delivers fresh ingredients to create your own dinner at home. Then, you use the Vudo.com credits to order a movie. That there is your perfect date night for next week!
As you can see, a perfectly romantic Valentine's Day Date Night can be planned, even on a budget. Dinner and a movie out or dinner and a movie in, whatever your choose, just don't forget the KY! Have a happy #KYDateNight :)
