A lot of people think that because I am thin I might have great legs and live in shorts. The truth is that I don't wear shorts all that often, preferring to always wear my yoga pants and tights. I do shave in winter and spring but not as much as I need to in the summer and because I never wear shorts, my legs are always a pasty color and so different from the rest of my body. Not exactly gorgeous summer legs. But summer is almost here and it is already unbearably hot here where I live, that means I have to pull the shorts out and prep my hibernating legs for summer. For this I took a trip down to Target where I found the perfect end cap featuring Sally Hansen and Energizer products that would get my prickly legs and toes ready for my summer wardrobe.
I love Sally Hansen products because I can find not just polishes to finish off my smooth legs look, but I can also find tools to help keep my nails in check. What a huge selection of colors! It's almost hard to pick out summer colors when you have so many to choose from, because then you want them all! I love the $1 Sally Hansen nail files so I got two designs but there were like 5 to choose from.
This weekend China and I had a spa night and this is where I brought out all the goods for some pampering and summer prep. While we did a face mask I applied the Sally Hansen Vitamin E Nail & Cuticle Oil all over my nails and let that soak in. Afterwards it was time to file and clip with the Sally Hansen nail tools.
Skintimate Skin Therapy shave gels are the trick to getting really smooth skin. Both are packed with Vitamin E and leave my legs baby soft and smooth. There is always a can of Skintimate in our shower.
Something so important year round but especially during the summer is SPF. Just like we wear SPF under our makeup and on our arms, you have to protect those legs even while you are allowing them to tan. I personally love Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Broad Spectrum SPF 30. This has a great scent that does not smell like sunscreen, it's smells sweet and light and it also moisturizes my skin so I don't have to add a moisturizer to my regimen when I wear it. I just apply generously right before stepping out of the house.
Now I am ready to step out and show the world my better looking legs and toes. Cute, pink toes -check. Smooth, supple and protected legs -check. I also did some clothes shopping this weekend so I was excited to wear my new floral crop top and flower detail flip flops. I now have quite a few of these tops and like 4 pairs of shorts that will take me through the entire summer.
No summer outfit is complete without some cute sandals and a bright nail color on your toes. Sally Hansen has some great summer shades that are so budget friendly. The Xtreme Wear Nail Color collection is my favorite because of how affordable it is.
I found the perfect denim jacket that goes perfect with all of my summer looks. I think it really ties the look together once evening arrives.

My legs and toes are ready for summer, as is my wardrobe. With Sally Hansen and Energizer tools, I can turn my pale legs, into smooth, silky legs. A month from now I should have a nice tan going on and then they will look even better. Are your legs ready to face the summer?
