During the summer months my part-time job is a bit slower and I find myself working at home more often than I do during the school year. This is nice because I can then spend those days really working on my blog and social media, as well as catching up on paperwork and all of those things that get behind during my really busy work seasons. I really enjoy these mornings where I can get up at a reasonable time and instead of rushing to get ready with a full face of makeup and hair, I can relax and just let my hair and skin have a break.
My Morning RoutineWhen I work I can be up as early as 4:30 am, but when I work from home I get up at the more decent time of 7:00 am. I'm super groggy when I get up and would rather go back to bed, but after looking out at the fresh, new day I get motivated to start my morning.
I love makeup and I love styling my hair, but I also love those days when I don't have to do all of that. Instead I can just do a very minimal routine so that I am decent, but not stress the makeup or hair, or clothing for that matter. I live in yoga pants and tanks when I am at home and I love not having to get dressed on those days so much.
My quick routine: I take care of my oral care, I wash my face and always moisturize it. My hair routine consists of making bun that sits haphazardly on top of my head and that's it.
The only other thing that I apply to my face is some lip balm to keep my lips moisturized and soft. Now I am ready to head downstairs for my breakfast, which consists of fruit and coffee on these days at home.
I don't know about you, but for me, coffee is life. I can't function until I've had my first cup of coffee and so I really look forward to getting downstairs and getting that started. Coffee time is one of the perks of getting up in the morning and I really look forward to it.
While my coffee is ready I can start checking emails and social media. There are always a ton of emails to answer, especially on Monday.
International Delight Simply Pure Coffee Creamers have only 5 simple ingredients and they are the perfect partner to my morning coffee.
International Delight Simply Pure is made with real milk, cream and sugar and doesn't lose flavor, so you don't have to use extra.
I like my morning coffee to be really natural, I don't even add sugar because I don't like getting all jittery.
Instead I want to enjoy the simple goodness of a strong cup of coffee with a dash of vanilla or hazelnut International Delight Simply Pure.
All mornings should start of so nice!
These mornings at home really are my favorite. I love how there is no makeup, no hair to get ready, and how I can hang in my yoga pants. I also love having my coffee at the table and enjoying 5 simple ingredients in my creamer and a simple bowl of fruit or banana.
After that it's time to get to work but by then I am on to my second cup of coffee and I am ready to face the work. I usually have really long days but as long as my mornings start off in such a nice, natural and relaxing way, then I can handle it all. Well, most of it.
